Chamber President lays Remembrance Sunday wreath
Bridport & West Bay Business Chamber President Robert Mühl joined the Remembrance Sunday Parade in Bridport and laid a wreath at the War Memorial on behalf of Chamber members.
Robert said: “I was very proud to lay the wreath on behalf of the Chamber, and all local businesses.”
The Parade and Service on Sunday 10 November marked the sacrifice of those who lost their lives in war. The event, organised by Bridport Town Council, Parade Commander Brigadier John Dean, Bridport Team Ministry and a range of forces, community groups, and volunteers, began with a parade through the town centre by representatives and veterans of HM Armed Forces, and local groups and organisations.
Accompanied by the Wessex Military Band, the parade moved off from East Street following inspection by the Town Mayor, Cllr Anne Rickard. The Mayor led the Parade, and observance of the traditional two minute silence at the War Memorial in South Street. Wreath laying followed, along with the Mayor’s address and the Service of Remembrance in St Mary’s Church.
