Oliver Letwin, Member of Parliament for West Dorset will be speaking about the economic drivers affecting Bridport and barriers to business growth, followed by a Q&A session.
Dugald Lockhart, Project Lead for Superfast Dorset will be discussing the benefits of superfast broadband to the local business community and how it will be of benefit to local businesses. The presentation will explain how businesses can fully exploit the opportunities associated with superfast broadband. It will focus on how to develop a digital retail strategy to increase growth and competitiveness in the future, what business and community groups can do collaboratively, examples of good practice and what support businesses can expect from the council and other government agencies.
