Adrian Poole from Porter Dodson will speak on two topics. The first presentation will address social media – the law and avoiding pitfalls. Social media is becoming an important part of everyday life but is posing new and often unforeseen legal issues. The purpose of this session will be to explore those issues and advise businesses on how to protect themselves and their reputation against such threats. The second presentation will focus on effective management of absence and performance issues. Repetitive or long-term absence is often difficult for smaller businesses to manage. Similarly, poor performance has to be actively managed if employees – and indirectly your business – is to reach its full potential. This part of the seminar is aimed at providing practical guidance to businesses on how to deal with such issues.
Sue Wheeler will also make a short speech about stress managements. Sue is a professional Holistic Therapist working with a range of therapies and life coaching, from her treatment rooms in Bridport and Chideock, Sue is a full member of the FHT and tailors each treatment to each person on every visit.
